stuny Posted March 27, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) After two weeks on a dive boat plying the reefs and coastal waters of PNG we left the Telita and its marvelous crew at Tufi, on the south eastern coast of the largest of the PNG islands. As we motored in we saw that this part of the coast is generously cut by nature (or Slartybartfarst) to form striking fjords. The first image is as we motored in, followed by the same image in B&W. The last is from the hotel looking down the same fjord our last night there. You can see more of the Tufi area on the fifth page of Papua New Guinea photo galleries on our site. zanydave Posted March 28, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 28, 2007 Excellent Stuart. Love the way the sun's rays have seperated the the hills in the background. Dave
elansprint72 Posted March 28, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 28, 2007 Changed my mind! The monochrome is slightly better; perhaps.
stuny Posted March 28, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted March 28, 2007 Pete - Thank you. And Slarty was a bit indecisive, too. Ivan & Jacques - Thank you. It is a gorgeous country that is largely unspoiled (including the reefs -- the healthiest we've seen in over a decade). Dave - Thank you. That's what I like most about the scene, too, and why I took the photo.
