Size of MP shutter speed dial

I can't seem to find an answer to this.

On some images I have seen, it looks as if the MP's shutter speed dial has an ever so slightly larger diameter than the dials on the M3 and M4. Is that the case or is it the exact same size as the older Ms?

It looks to me like the MP and M2 are both roughly 7mm from the front face of the top plate to the edge of the dial and 8.2mm from the rear face to the edge of the dial.

Anticipating the next question they both sit 5mm tall above the top plate. ;)

AFAIK the only difference is the dials on the earlier cameras had the notch for the Leicameter - we also therefore know that they were all identical.

As said, I don't see why (or even how?) Leica would change the position of the shutter dial given that the rest of the cameras design is essentially the same.

To continue our joyful studies with the M3, the elder of the lineage, let me add that the distance from the dial's edge to the front edge of the top plate is 7mm, but 8mm to the edge of the frame around the rangefinder window. Remarkably, the left corner of the latter is aligned with the dial's axis. The dial's diameter seems to be 16mm, as for the MP. ;)

Cheers,

Alexander
