On some images I have seen, it looks as if the MP's shutter speed dial has an ever so slightly larger diameter than the dials on the M3 and M4. 250swb Posted February 6, 2013 Share #6 Posted February 6, 2013 It looks to me like the MP and M2 are both roughly 7mm from the front face of the top plate to the edge of the dial and 8.2mm from the rear face to the edge of the dial. earleygallery Posted February 6, 2013 Share #7 Posted February 6, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) AFAIK the only difference is the dials on the earlier cameras had the notch for the Leicameter - we also therefore know that they were all identical. As said, I don't see why (or even how?) xalo Posted February 6, 2013 Share #8 Posted February 6, 2013 To continue our joyful studies with the M3, the elder of the lineage, let me add that the distance from the dial's edge to the front edge of the top plate is 7mm, but 8mm to the edge of the frame around the rangefinder window. Remarkably, the left corner of the latter is aligned with the dial's axis. The dial's diameter seems to be 16mm, as for the MP.
