You never know when you may have to take a shot from the hip. This set is from a session where I walked around practicing shooting from the hip just so I can get comfortable doing it with the m8. All of these were shot from the hip just moments apart from each other.

Using what focal length? Each successfully framed shot the result of only 1 snap or several, with or without chimping? Any cropping?

Timidity or cowardice are not the only reasons for shooting from the hip. Stealthy shooting increases the possibility of achieving truly candid photographic capture. It also permits an effective low-angle perspective without one's having to squat down, a posture that becomes quite cumbersome as advancing years diminish our agility.

28mm on the M8 . One snap for each shot, no chimping. I didn't crop or rotate these to give the honest result of my trial of shooting from the hip.
