I would be interested to shoot a Summarit for some time. People write different things about the lens and bokeh. For sure I like the image you posted. I was close to buy one but than didnt know. If I needed the extra stop and glamour effect then the Sonnar would have been my choice as well, but the Planar does everything I want very well. All I can say is they are two totally different lenses. The LUX ASPH is perhaps the best 50mm lens bar none (my opinion). It is brutually sharp and performs well wide-open. I just can't spring $2600US (close to $3000CDN) for a 50mm lens. If I could I would no doubt get the ASPH LUX. That said I would keep the Sonar C for it's very particular image look and feel and IQ.
