stuny Posted March 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday while walking south on Park Avenue to meet Forum member LichMD I finally went into this church (Park Avenue at 38th St.) having passed it dozens of times. When I got inside I found it to be quite dark, but quite striking. I leaned my back against the wall to steady myself and shot this handheld (1.3 seconds) with the FX-07 (C-Lux-2). This camera is ideal for going to and from work – Tiny enough to slip into a small pocket. It comes with me when the D2 or DMR cannot. I’ll add this shot to the 5th NY page of our site this weekend. jmr Posted March 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2007 Stuart, really good colour, light and exposure in this very enjoyable shot. 1.3 seconds? - you can breathe again now Mr. Nordheimer.
ECliffordSmith Posted March 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2007 Stuart, Very nice colours and bearing in mind the exposure time this is rather remarkable!
stuny Posted March 24, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted March 24, 2007 John and Ed - Thank you. I was rather suprised to be able to do it, especially since my heart rate was up a bit from a very rapid walk. The OIS must have helped.
LichMD Posted March 24, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 24, 2007 Stuart this is a beautiful photo, much better at this size then on the LCD of your camera yesterday. Thank you for sharing with us, my friend.

Pappy Posted April 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted April 13, 2007 Looks very Byzantine, with a western spin. Beautiful flat colours of the mural/icon of Christ behind the alter. Nice shot!
stuny Posted April 13, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted April 13, 2007 Paul - Thank you. It does remind me of similar work I've seen in Istanbul and Sicily.
arthury Posted April 14, 2007 Share #11 Posted April 14, 2007 Stuart, are you a member of the X-men? How did you control your pulse in 1.3 secs? Excellent shot, anyway.
stuny Posted April 15, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted April 15, 2007 Arthur - Thank you. It was a combination of using firearms target shooting breath and stance techniques, leaning my back against the wall, and the slight added advantage of the OIS. We will all miss Dr. Xavior, but I really miss Jean.
