I'll dig out my Putts book, I thought there were to types of chromatic abberation, one more significant (afflicting longer focal lengths) and one affecting wider angles.

 

I was thinking more of label/market position. We all get sold the 'badge', I still smile at the number of badges added to most electronic equipment these days, a thing of the 70's.

Which first appeared on the M4-2 but the red thing was easy to unstick then.
