Portrait lens for M6

With that budget get yourself a vintage Elmar 90 either M or LTM. You'll save some monies that you'll want to use to get a shade and you'll be amazed by the results. When it comes to landscape and portrait speed shouldn't be an issue. The Elmar is sharp but not annoyingly so and bokeh's smooth. IMHO it makes a good candidate for the use you have in mind.

Do not buy a tele design if you want a sharp lens in close range. Elmar or 90 2.8 Elmarit for viso or RF focus. 90 4.0 macro if you want critically sharp close and far.

90 Summicron E55 is slightly soft up close and loses some micro contrast and make a nice portrait even on digital Leicas.

Elmar C are tele designs as is 90 2,8 except for the above Elmarit that is useable for RF and Visoflex work.
