melissah Posted December 20, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted December 20, 2012 Nicely done! And welcome to the forum. The blond hair is a bit distracting, it takes my eye away from the mans shadow on the wall, which connect me to the main subject

huntca Posted December 20, 2012 Author Share #7 Â Posted December 20, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lightroom? Burn? I think LR4 is you're friend here. Normally I wouldn't care but the mans shadow is so impt. To me ;-) Â I'm usually a huge fan of editing, but I'm having fun with the challenge of converting to b/w and leaving it alone. Anything in the framing that annoys me will hopefully make me a better shooter next time. Â I suck at 35mm, I suck at street photography, and I suck at b/w conversions. Maybe if I focus on these things for a long enough time and not play to my strengths (post processing), I'll get better. Â We'll see how it goes. melissah Posted December 21, 2012 Share #9 Â Posted December 21, 2012 Btw I just looked at you're site. The difference between what's in your main site and what's in your blog, is night and day. The blog/forum stuff is way far ahead.
robert_parker Posted December 24, 2012 Share #10 Â Posted December 24, 2012 An interesting 'dark' image, withn what is for me excellent composition and timing, giving a real sense of modern reportage.

Maybe you have a strong preference for black and white?
melissah Posted December 25, 2012 Share #12 Â Posted December 25, 2012 I love color, I just rarely see it used to my taste. Usually for people I prefer b/w unless you're Martin parr or Tina Barney. Which prolly means I like color with a flash! Actually not, Alex Webb comes to mind... Â In your case I prefer the blog images bc there's a freedom there, perhaps from a smaller camera or? I don't know. Nothing there fells forced.
