zanydave Posted March 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I used my recently aquired 60mm Macro-Elmarit on the DMR to digitize these images. They were M/F transparencies I had taken some years ago & had long forgotten about until reading an article in a magazine. As I only have the facility to scan 35mm I thought this would be an opportunity to test the quality of the 60 Macro. Was rather pleased with the results. Thanks for looking. Advertisement Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hi zanydave, Take a look here Macro Landscapes. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jmr Posted March 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 20, 2007 Dave, not bad. Seriously though - the light in both shots is excellent as is the composition. The mauve grass in the first shot is positively chilly. If you've got any more, don't hold back.
andybarton Posted March 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 20, 2007 Superb What's the technique? Lovely shot of what looks like Leasowe, by the way.
zanydave Posted March 20, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted March 20, 2007 Thank you gentlemen. Andy. Just position the tripod directly over a lightbox & focus in tight on the image (Better to mask it off) White balance is not a problem with transparencies, gets a bit tricky with negs but thats what photoshops for innit
johnwolf Posted March 20, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 20, 2007 Dave, The first one is stunning. Wonderful color and design. The foreground detail and movement from dark to light makes it for me. John
elansprint72 Posted March 20, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 20, 2007 Remarkable! Please post #1 in the digital forum asking if anyone else has magenta problems with their DMR- that should cause another wave of hysteria for several weeks! No need to tell them about your technique, no-one from over there ever looks at the photo forum. That is some lens.
