I had a 100' wall of orchids that I collected over many years with my great uncle from the Florida Everglades. Everything was lost after Katrina's eye came right over our home in Coconut Grove. That was the final impetus for us to sell our winter home and move back to Manhattan fulltime. My unconscious still provides me the pleasure of the subtle fragrance in my dreams, from time to time.
