E48 Protection filter

I don't think the SA needs a slim filter, but it will be difficult to find something else. B&W used to make 48 mm but I looked on the Foto Huppert site and it is no longer listed, at least not for the 007 protective filters. You could have a look on the Heliopan site and if they still list it you can mail them for a dealer. Personally I am not convinced by the use of protective filters on extreme wideangles, and iirc the 21 SuperAngulon is not immune to flare.

I have exactly the filter linked to by Jaap... an UV standard which i regularly mounted on my Telyt 200 ; it happened to me also to mount it on my SA 21.. and as far as I remember (it was several years ago) it didn't cause issues related to the mount in itself (vignetting) ; but is also true what Jaap says... with strong wideangles the typical glass filters can easily bring to problems of recflection / flare etc...

You can find some (no cheap) E48 UV filters also at Kevin cameras : http://www.kevincameras.com/ (see "Leica Misc." - then Album: "Leica Filters" - "Leica E 48 filters")

Does anyone know of a stockist of an E48 (Leica/B&W/???) in the UK or Europe as I would like to get hold of one - they are elusive....

I've got a 48mm UV filter by B+W on my 90mm summicron.
