In England we could not come up behind some-one carrying a small child in the street and snap them as onlookers would call the police OR you would be seen on CCTV and the operator would call the police ! I cannot use anything bigger than a Minox 35GT for 'Street Photography' now and have to hold it in the palm of my hand at waist level and guess the focus and framing !

really? wow.....i knew that the UK cracks down on photographers, but didn't realise it is such a big deal even on the streets.

Wow, I bet all of the UK street photographers I see all the time must have spent half of their lives in jail... :rolleyes:

And to answer the question, the kid is probably thinking, "Should I tell him I just pee'd myself or should I just wait until he can feel it??

That says more about your attitude to street photography than it does about conditions in the UK, to be honest.
