250swb Posted September 30, 2012 Share #3 Posted September 30, 2012 Audi Silver Grey L70/M would be my choice. It is also the same shade as RAL 7001 which makes it easier to get an aerosol mixed. How the colour comes out can also depend on how you apply it, especially metallic's. I would put a couple of good coats on over a grey primer, and that should look OK. But if you want a slightly textured finish warm the can to get good pressure, hold the hood at arms length (mounted on a small black of wood etc) and give it a dry coat (which is how not to paint a smooth finish), allowing the paint to form a fine mist as it hits the hood.
