Advertisement Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Hi wildlightphoto, Take a look here Leicaflex - compatible lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lm_user Posted November 2, 2012 Share #22 Posted November 2, 2012 Yes, many can be used on the Leicaflex, but not all. I wont disagree. How would I determine which 3 cam lenses are incompatible?
wildlightphoto Posted November 2, 2012 Share #23 Posted November 2, 2012 I wont disagree. How would I determine which 3 cam lenses are incompatible? Incompatible lenses (not guaranteed to be a complete list) regardless of cams are listed in post #6 in this thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-r-leica-flex/254438-leicaflex-compatible-lenses.html#post2222564 To maximize compatibility replace the Leicaflex's battery cover with a slimmer battery cover like the one from the SL2's second battery compartment. The 100 APO, 80-200mm f/4 and 280mm f/4 APO are among those requiring the slim battery cover.
gvaliquette Posted November 4, 2012 Share #24 Posted November 4, 2012 I am not an expert. However, I do use 3 cam lenses on my Leicaflex MkII. Most, but not all, 3-cam lenses are OK on a Leicaflex; it is 3rd cam lenses that do not meter, and that is the source of the confusion: 3-cam vs 3rd cam.
