I took all my photo gear and drove my truck to Alaska a couple of summers ago, with two friends. When I got back, my wife had partially remodeled the kitchen. You gotta be careful about expensive photo-related purchases without prior spousal knowledge.

Memorize this line: "Well, jeez...I thought we talked about it."

If only women wished for Leicas instead of diamonds.

But I guess that's like wishing for night to be day.

Okay gentlemen, a quick reminder, there are women on the forum, and we wish for diamonds but prefer leica's

Hi Andy,

Just say "you will never believe the bargain that I got today...". Then just make sure you hide the invoice and keep your credit card receipts really safe. BTW I'd keep the box, just on the offside that your M8 has got to go back to Solms. Most Important - ENJOY IT.

I was waiting for the ladies to show up and say that. Looks like it might be 2 M8's to go please. Wrap one of them:D

Best include a 75 lux and you may get off the hook!

Hi Karen,

Please don't take this the wrong way, however, I think you look much better with a Leica than with any diamond - blush...

Andreas

Taken in the spirit it was intended :)

Actually I agree too!

And if you weren't all already married, you would surely get a heap of offers, with such sensible desires :)

:D :D :D Hey that's how I feel about all those 'porsche, Ferrari toys I hear mentioned on these boards.

I could buy a lot of 75 lux's and change my name to Imelda with the shoe collection. Oddly, I never hear E type jags mentioned. Now a Leica collection and one of those (1964), and I would happily wear flip flops for ever more.

Great taste in cars and cameras (and with an affinity for electrical glitches).
