Either you misplaced the black patches on the bayonet flange—they need to be placed very exactly in the correct positions. The only lens I have now that is not coded, that I regularly use is a 50mm Cron Ridged. The mount is so snug on my M9, the marks rub off as I mount the lens, so it does not work. If it's goggled then you must code it as a 50 mm lens—for example as Summicron 50 mm: code 33 = 100001. But then, it becomes basically pointless ...
