pauledell Posted July 30, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 30, 2012 J-C, Â A fantastic shot with the framing of the lion in the bush, the colors and clarity. I imagine you were near your truck when you photographed that. Â Paul

stuny Posted July 30, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted July 30, 2012 J-C - Excellent. Â Paul - When you're inside your vehicles (even open ones) if you're realtively quiet and don't move around too much the lions perceive you as part of the vehicle.
Iduna Posted July 30, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted July 30, 2012 J-C, Â very good shot. Somehow a good contrast the foliage and through its hole a peeping lion. Good natural frame.
leicamann Posted August 3, 2012 Share #7  Posted August 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Cool, looks like the lion was having a nice day, considering that the life of a lion can be brutal, violent and brief. Ahh the life of a cat  Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM
jaques Posted August 3, 2012 Share #8 Â Posted August 3, 2012 It always amazes me that in Africa you could stumble on to such a cat hiding in the bushes. Â For all their majesty I am glad we don't have them here in Australia. We have enough surprises with snakes, spiders, crocodiles and sharks... Â Unexpectedly a nasty type of native jumping Ant is responsible for more deaths than any of those other beasties...
imported_marc Posted August 3, 2012 Share #9 Â Posted August 3, 2012 J-C, Â Nice shot, but it was shot in the Addo Elephant Park? I didn't realise that there were lions. That is probably the reason that I was not allowed to replace the flat tyre by myself.

Therefor the big signs: "DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES" Better one obeys
drdannn Posted September 26, 2012 Share #11 Â Posted September 26, 2012 It's a great photo for sure. I would have erased the little twig that is coming straight out of the center of his/her head. Looks like an antenna. Just my thoughts.
