I am liking the teflon tape idea best, changing the glass in a E41 second. thinking about some very thin dental floss also. Fall back is a 41-40.5 step down I found on the auction site.

 

Just to test things out, I reversed a 39 mm and used a bit of thin tape. Unstable, but the shade does fit.

 

A few pics inside the house confirm it has similar properties/fingerprint on digital as it had on film. What happens at 1.5 is the low frequency is retained somewhat, high frequency data is gone giving a somewhat soft focus effect. Stopped down, it looks sharp.

 

I am going to try some outside pics today and post them if I get something with some artistic merit. Lack of rain has made things look bad.
