Rona!d Posted July 25, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 25, 2012 Now I understand why I could only be the second best photographer on this planet. So what I need aside my MP is the M9P it seems
masjah Posted July 25, 2012 Share #5 Posted July 25, 2012 Wonderful! I'm eternally grateful to him for explaining to me why my pictures are so c**p! I've got the wrong cameras! (Must swap my R8/9 and lenses for M system.)
Scarlet Posted July 25, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 25, 2012 I didn't know the M9P advances automatically. Is that true of the M9 too?
chrism Posted July 25, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) He's done a series of spoof reviews of Leica products. I wonder what name he goes by on this forum.....? Chris

Axot Posted July 26, 2012 Author Share #10 Posted July 26, 2012 I'm sorry e1k3, I'm new here and don't know the etiquette of this board yet. I'm not even sure if I will become a permanent member, as I haven't decided yet if will buy a Leica (I'm researching the MP and hence bumped into that link). I just thought it was funny (because the guy is either brilliant or mental), and it seems I was not the only one. Anyway, I got the message and will remain mostly a lurker. Michael Geschlecht Posted July 26, 2012 Share #11 Posted July 26, 2012 Hello Axot, Welcome to the Forum. There are no requirements of Leitz/Leica ownership to participate on this Forum. As a matter of fact there are peopple who write here who think more highly of & use other brands. The general, loosely structured, requirement is that Brand name discussions include or use Leitz/Leica products if they pertain to cameras or/& lenses. An acceptable example might be a Leitz lens on an Alpa camera. Other things such as: Printers, lightmeters, etc are nor brand specific. General photographic questions - ie: How do you meter & adjust the lens/shutter speed when photographing high in the mountains instead of in your back yard in the forest @ an alltitude of 276 meters? - are also quite acceptable & equally encouraged. Participating instead of just lurking can sometimes be a good way to learn. Especially w/ such a diverse, intelligent group of people from all over the Planet many of whom generously share their knowledge. Don't forget Barnack's Bar. Best Regards, Michael
masjah Posted July 26, 2012 Share #12 Posted July 26, 2012 Unnecessary link and unnecessary thread. But it's hugely entertaining - at least I got a really good laugh out of it. IMHO the only thing that the OP might at all be criticised for is putting it here rather than in the Bar. And for a relative newcomer to the Forum that very minor faux pas (if indeed it really is such) is surely entirely forgiveable. Axot, do stick aroud and contribute - you are very welcome. Keith (M) Posted July 26, 2012 Share #13 Posted July 26, 2012 Wow, I just watched that marvellous video. It was so motivating! So much so that as a M9 and MP owner, I am now going to resign from my highly-paid City job and set up a photography business. Can't wait to see the commissions and $'s rolling in...
