dugby Posted March 10, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 10, 2007 My D2 had a nice visit to Solms and is currently on her way back. Â Our re-union from across the world, and then across Australia may take some time though.....

richam Posted March 10, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted March 10, 2007 I'm in Greece, and had to wait over 2 months for my Digilux 2 to be returned after warranty sensor replacement. Solms reported that the delay was due to the needed part not being in stock. They did apologize for the delay and compensated by providing a new battery. I notice no changes in performance; it works like new which is how it worked just prior to the failure.

haika Posted March 10, 2007 Share #6  Posted March 10, 2007 my digilux 2 was repaired within 2 weeks, free of charge. got it back a couple of weeks ago. the problem, though, seems to have been the sensor's cabling, not the sensor itself.  günter
richam Posted March 10, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted March 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Volker, Â I read somewhere that Leica had extended the warranty on the D2 for sensor failure. If you check with Solms, you may get lucky.

stuny Posted March 10, 2007 Share #9 Â Posted March 10, 2007 I delivered mine to Leica NJ, was told it needed to vacation in Solms for a new Sensor, and would be back in 5 or 6 weeks. 5 1/2 weeks later I had it, it performs as if new, and they gave me a new spare battery.
