Fgcm Posted July 3, 2012 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2012 Wait until September. Plustek will issue a new scanner that will scan 120 and 135 film. OpticFilm 120 | Introduction | Plustek Spec. sound good enough Franco
honcho Posted July 3, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 3, 2012 .....Spec. sound good enough Franco It does read well on the face of it. Anyone currently using a flatbed to scan film should take a good look at this when it becomes available. Assuming the spec. is true, the weakest link is likely to be the plastic carriers. Why do they stick a Lubitel on top of it? Surely they want it to be taken seriously!
250swb Posted July 3, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Plustek plastic holders are chunky and well made compared to the bendy Epson efforts. I think they put a Lubitel on top to maximise sales, the Lomo movement has far more people using film than the few dedicated people with a Leica or Rolleiflex I use an Epson V700 for medium format and a Plustek 7400 for 35mm B&W. I do all my digital contact sheets ifrom MF or 35mm with the Epson, and the combination with the Plustek is ideal for a fast and high quality workflow, getting the best of both worlds for not too much money.
