hector_jorge Posted March 8, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have 3 Leicas M and 3 Leica R cameras (0, M4, M6TTL and SL2, R4 and R6.2). Now I will like to buy a digital Leica, maybe a Digilux 3, but I have noticed that after the M8 nobody in the Forum seems to mention the Digilux anymore. Maybe its Panasonic "brother" has replaced it? Many thanks in advance for the answers. Hector. Â PS: I forgot to mention my Minilux Zoom.
dugby Posted March 8, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Just do an "Advanced search" on D3 and L1...... there is a lot of good discussion. Â It's turned out to be a very good product that Leica and Panasonic, both must be very proud of.
Guest stnami Posted March 8, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted March 8, 2007 ... not mentiond because according to those speaking for God there is no life beyond the m8, mind you the information is sieved through a filter or two
hector_jorge Posted March 8, 2007 Author Share #4 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Yes, I was thinking in the D3 too, but I don't like the the missed viewfinder.
dugby Posted March 8, 2007 Share #5  Posted March 8, 2007 Yes, I was thinking in the D3 too, but I don't like the the missed viewfinder.  Are you really referring to the DLux3....?  Digilux 3 is the 4/3 SLR (aka Panasonic DMC-L1)  or  DLux3 which is the small pocket sized 16x9 prosumer with an LCD only display
gepetto Posted March 8, 2007 Share #6  Posted March 8, 2007 Hector I think the posts outside of the M8 get buried very quickly.  The Digital Forum should be set up like the Photo Forum.  Digital Talk M8/DMR Rest of show  You can use your R lenses with the Digilux 3 or the L1. PanaLeica just announced the 14mm F1.4 four/thirds and to be released some time later the 14mm-150mm F3.5/5.6. That is a serious super zoom.
Riley Posted March 8, 2007 Share #7  Posted March 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) yes Digilux 3 stuff tends to get lost among the  'oh no i got flare while photographing the inside of a seachlight' thread  or 'yet another bag' thread  or 'whats this screw for' thread
spylaw4 Posted March 8, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted March 8, 2007 It's a pity that the separate M8 section that we had during its development phase was not kept live after its release. But dig deep and ye shall find...!
dist Posted March 8, 2007 Share #9 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Tag search is your friend: http://www.leica-camera-user.com/tags/index.php/digilux-3/ (of course, for this to work, thread starters need to exert a minimum amount of diligence when tagging their threads) Cheers,
spylaw4 Posted March 8, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted March 8, 2007 And I would add tags like: L1, D3, Panasonic, just to cover all possibilities!

farnz Posted March 9, 2007 Share #15  Posted March 9, 2007 And I would add tags like: L1, D3, Panasonic, just to cover all possibilities! Brian,  Regrettably only tags with a minimum of 3 characters are allowed. I have asked whether 2-character tags could be permissible for tags like Mx, Rx, and Dx etc but no dice so far.  The thread is here: http://www.leica-camera-user.com/about-leica-forum/15306-cant-add-d2-tag.html  Pete.
