Morten Grathe Posted March 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am thinking about purchasing two bags for my M8: Thinktank Speed Demon Billingham M-bag Any experiance with these bags. Obviously they are for different occasions. I think for a long time, I won't be bringing more than 3 lenses. Advertisement Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Hi Morten Grathe, Take a look here Bags for M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pemayeux Posted March 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2007 I use two bags. I have the Billingham M bag which I keep the M8 with a lens attached and two additional lenses, plus a expodisk and extra cards. My second bag is a Lowepro #4 that I keep my two remaining lenses, charger and MP body. I really like the Billingham for a small easy to tote bag. Usuallly I keep the 28/2.8 asph and the 50/1.4 asph in the Billingham with the 35/1.4 asph on the camera. The other bag holds the Noctilux and the 75/1.4 as they tend to be the least used lenses. I've thought about getting a Billingham or A&A that would hold all the set but I'm not sure which would be best.
joern Posted March 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2007 The Billingham M-bag is very nice. Small, superb quality and enough room for additional stuff like filters, leica mini tripod etc. I prefer the black one. For the full kit i just ordered the LowePro Omni Sport. jwr50 Posted March 7, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 7, 2007 I, too, use the Billingham-M bag as my "walk around" bag for the M8 with lens attached and two additional lenses. I've got a larger Billingham that I keep all of my Leica kit in, but the Billingham-M bag is a high quality, compact bag that suits most of my needs very well. Morten Grathe Posted March 7, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted March 7, 2007 I think I will have a look on the black one too. I like the idea of a small bag, that you can carry along without getting tired. This is not the case with my Canons - they go in a large backpack. egibaud Posted March 7, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 7, 2007 Hi, For "heavy transportation" I have the Billingham Hadley PRO, I use it for my M8 with a lens fitted + an extra lens + Flash + charger + Panasonic FZ30 + charger + spare batteries and SD cards. For daily light use I've just bought a Billingham L2 for 1 M8 with a lense on + an extra lense. Quality is brilliant. Eric

I'm curious, which larger Billingham do you have? I need space for two bodies, 28,35,50, Nocti, 75, charger and filters.
Bill W Posted March 7, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2007 I just got the Billingham M bag from Popflash and it is superb. I have an older Domke for transporting the whole kit when necessary. The Domke will hold 2 bodies and up to 6 lens by stacking them. The M8's charger now takes th eplace where a lens went though since it is sort of bulky itself. I am at work so I do not know the model of the Domke. I will reply later if anyone is interested.

wag Posted March 7, 2007 Share #10 Posted March 7, 2007 I think I juist figured out what you mean by the Billingham "M" bag. Am I correct you are talking about the "Combo". They are nice, small but nice. I have a Billingham 225 and a 206 Media bag. They are beautifully made. I'm selling the 206 media bag because its a little smaller than the 225 which is just right for me. The 206 is in great shape and well priced. Stephen.s1 Posted March 7, 2007 Share #13 Posted March 7, 2007 I'm about ready to order an ImageSmith. I'll expect to be able to carry a M6 and M8. Both with lenses affixed. Hopefully I'll be able to carry 3 more lenses, and a few rolls of film. I do not want a huge bag with stuff rattling around in it. Not to hijack the thread; if anyone knows of a reason I shouldn't go this way, please speak up.
Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 7, 2007 Share #14 Posted March 7, 2007 The Image Smith i can carry two bodies with lenses and 4 more lenses in the front. Great bag
Jager Posted March 7, 2007 Share #15 Posted March 7, 2007 Just an fyi, I tried to order an A&A Oskar Day Bag this morning from Photo Village, based on the positive input on the forum here. It's out of stock and not expected to be available for several months. If anyone has another source for the A&A bags, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jeff
