innerimager Posted March 6, 2007 Share #41 Â Posted March 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) No problems here (safari). The image review is MUCH faster, I like having clipped area show immediately, that's all that 10 seconds of testing has revealed! And, I've said this before, after 5 years of Nikon dealings (and I like them a lot, I live 15 minutes from Melville) and what I've seen my canon buddies go through, Leica's responsiveness and timeliness of upgraded firmware, etc., is second to none. best....Peter PS- Start up is also Much faster, a very good thing! wparsonsgisnet Posted March 6, 2007 Share #43 Â Posted March 6, 2007 That did the trick. Three cheers for the USA! The zipfile on the German site has a slightly different filesize as well. Â well, you know, the words are longer....
footnoteblog Posted March 6, 2007 Share #44 Â Posted March 6, 2007 Question: Â They only way I think I can do this at work is with my Treo and PC, though I don't think the Palm Quick Install program will allow "non" Palm items on the SD card (though I think the Mac version does). Is there a way to do this? Â Or should I just wait until I get home on my Mac? Â Â Thanks.
Stan Raucher Posted March 6, 2007 Share #45 Â Posted March 6, 2007 It looks like 1.092 has fixed the vertical rainbow streaking that was caused when a shot was taken immediately from a sleeping M8. The lag required to take a shot from the sleeping state may be longer however. Â Stan

Venkman Posted March 6, 2007 Share #47 Â Posted March 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if the update has fixed the verticle band near the center of the image? Â It appears so, although I "thought" seeing it on the display preview, a few test shots didn't show it in C1.
carstenw Posted March 6, 2007 Share #48 Â Posted March 6, 2007 I'm sure any bugs you saw in 1.091 has been fixed in 1.092:D Â Not quite: the word "Dependant" still appears. Not a serious problem, but given that it is just one letter wrong, I find it disappointing that it wasn't corrected.
yoMammabot Posted March 6, 2007 Share #49 Â Posted March 6, 2007 Just wanted yall to know that that it downloaded and installed the new firware. I used Firefox on a Mac with Unzip. Venkman Posted March 7, 2007 Share #50 Â Posted March 7, 2007 The other day, someone mentioned in a thread that he needs to remember to take the lens cap off, because he won't notice it's still on (not like seeing just black with a SLR). Â I never paid much attention whether this would happen to me, since I usualy have the cap off - but yesterday it happened and the M8 gave me some weird flashing alert inside the viewfinder - almost every element in there was lit and flashing. Â No idea if that was a feature before this new firmware, but I found it pretty neat

Even the M6 and MP behave the same way.
Venkman Posted March 7, 2007 Share #53 Â Posted March 7, 2007 No, that's not a new feature. Even the M6 and MP behave the same way. Â That's the answer I feared - I outed myself as a total newbie to Leica now - Thanks Dietmar
scott kirkpatrick Posted March 7, 2007 Share #54  Posted March 7, 2007 That's the answer I feared - I outed myself as a total newbie to Leica now - Thanks Dietmar  I didn't know that either, but my leica credentials go back before they had batteries. So don't be ashamed.  scott
