Warranty from another country

I'm looking for a M9 to replace my M8.

Bought my M8 used here in Holland and prefer buying on here. However I really want a black camera and those are pretty rare on the used Dutch market so I'm also looking in Belgium and Germany since I can drive easily to those country's without it taking to much time.

But how does this work with warranty? The camera I'm now looking at is bought in february 2012 so is full in warrenty. Lets say the sensor cracks, will I be able to send my (Belgian or German) M9 in at my local dutch dealer? And is it repaired under warrenty?

I'm not really afraid about the standard stuff like adjusting the rangefinder, have done that with the M8 and only was about 120 euro, but can imagine a new sensor without warranty can be quite expensive.

Any one having experience with buying from another country?

Unless otherwise agreed with your Dutch dealer, the latter won't repair under warranty the M9 you've bought in Belgium or Germany, but your Belgian or German dealer as well as Leica Solms themselves will do it if the body is covered by a Leica warranty actually.

Leica guaranty is worldwide. I find it much better to deal with Solms directly than to go through the Dutch channels. And Leica will replace a cracked sensor regardless of guaranty. I have bought new cameras from both the UK and Germany and never had a problem.
