Even as I type, there is a total eclipse of the moon.

This is not the best moon shot, ever, but this was taken earlier this evening. We get so few clear nights...

The 560 Telyt is not designed to swing free in front of an R body, at 40-odd degrees elevation...

Anyone with a decent eclipse shot?

Andy,

I lliked this photo very much. The lightly illuminated contour of the moon is the first time I see such an image. We see a darkened part of the moon but is not dark. This is not an ordinary moon photo. The effort given to make it possible must be congratulated.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Andy , I must say this is a very successful moon shot clear with good detail. All my attempts pale into insignificance compared to this one. Several attempts with my Apo Telyt f4 280 & two times Apo converter have not reached this quality so congratulations are in order.

Any secrets you care to share?

Manfred
