I just try a roll of TriX with M2. the rest of roll is perfect but I got problem with #10 and #11

#10 : should be 1/60 with F1.4

#11: the light in window is very strong and gave flared a lots. I used timer and speed at 1/2s with f=8.

I don't think the timer problem because I try some others with timer all is fine.

the problem may be at low speed.

If those were light leaks, all 36 frames would be similarly affected, not just frames 10 and 11.

I think they may be stress marks in the emulsion. If a negative is creased, bent, impacted, abraded etc. before development, the emulsion can be damaged. That damage will show up as flaws or marks on the negative after development.

This can happen as a result of mishandling when putting the film on the developing reels. I have a lot of E6 frames with similar marks in the film margins along the sprocket holes.

Intermittent light leaks are quite possible. I just recently had this problem with my M7 where some frames were affected, but others not and the degree to with they were varied.

It would be easier to get a proper look if the negs were backlit, but I'll venture a guess non the less. For #11 I'm guessing that this is simply blooming from light coming in through the window, it is seeping through the mask and contaminating the area between the frames. I have seen this in my own negs several times in similar situations. It is, in my experience, tied to a strong light source ant the edge of the frame and longish exposure.

Neither of the marks on #10 looks like light leaks to me. They are too sharply defined. Have you checked the base for mis-colouring as an indication of physical damage?

Most unlikely to be light leaks as the 'marks' extend beyond the image area (and most light leaks on an M camera come from the viewfinder area or the shutter blinds therefore only affect the area within the frame.

A positive image might be helpful to see how these marks appear on the image.

Did you process the film yourself?

I think the two darker areas between frames 10a and 11 are from the extremely bright light coming in from the window. The other is a very defined mark. Perhaps two separate problems coincidentally close to each other?
