visiondr Posted March 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) A walk down a narrow street in Florence brought me here. Just a tiny little grocery store tucked out of the way. Ron Leica MP, 50mm Elmar-M (current), Illford FP4 plus in HC-110 Dil B.
Advertisement Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Hi visiondr, Take a look here Florence grocery. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted March 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2007 Ron - Anyone every tell you how much you look like Che? ;-) A lovely scene at just the right angle, with nice details and texture. I think it could be just a touch lighter, and I'd prefer it to be a bit smaller so I don't have to scroll to see it all.
visiondr Posted March 3, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted March 3, 2007 Thanks, and thanks. I always thought that photo of Che was cool (my eldest brother had a big poster on his wall in college back in the 60s) and besides, it was taken with a Leica! Perhaps my photo is a bit dark. It really depends on you monitor, I suppose. The negative has a complete range of tones (deep blacks and non-blocked highlights). The actual silver print looks better. LichMD Posted March 3, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2007 I like the mood of this picture Ron. I also like the framing and the angle you saw and captured here. I've tried a few adjustments on my browser without being able to get the photo in frame without scrolling. Any other shots from Florence you want to share? jaapv Posted September 23, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Let's leave politics in barnack's Bar.. There is no doubt that this is an iconic image, that stands symbol for the ideals of a generation, far beyond the (doubtful indeed) ideology of the subject.
