Halloa!

Considering the inherent problems of seeing frame lines in RF cameras (particularly if using magnifiers etc. for focussing), can anyone suggest a method for checking the composition of a frame independently? Is there a device for checking the framing off the camera? I was thinking along the lines of a hand held viewfinder of some sort.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum, Little Lewy!

Framing accuracy is probably the most difficult handling operation on a rangefinder camera. With experience it is no problem provided you learn how framing changes with focus-settings. I do find the LCD most useful for confirming my framing. Anything critical deserves a retake, if necessary, given the chance.

But how do you know the OP is using an M8/9?

Learn by experience, you'll soon get used to it.

Because he posted in the M9 forum?

Edit: Oops- I see one of my colleagues moved the thread...:(
