gyoung Posted March 16, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 16, 2012 Didn't they do something like that in the 30s for early Agfa colour? Gerry
40mm f/2 Posted March 16, 2012 Share #5 Posted March 16, 2012 I will be a RGB color wheel filter (motorized) and synchronized with the camera to automatically take 3 different color exposures. Cost will be 60% of the camera. One disadvantage is that it will block 90% of the view finder. But each pixel has the RGB info without interpolation (just like Foveon) and therefore much higher resolution (except when the subjects moves). gyoung Posted March 17, 2012 Share #6 Posted March 17, 2012 I can't see why there shouldn't be a glass plate in front of the sensor coated with starch grains. Effective 2 ISO will boost sales of Noctilux Gerry
farnz Posted March 17, 2012 Share #7 Posted March 17, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rumour has it that the filter will be supplied with a handcrafted leather bag full of live Leica pixies whose job it will be to correctly colour each pixel with a tiny little paintbrush.
