andybarton Posted January 8, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is just a note to advise that the Judging has been completed and the 100 top scoring shots submitted have been chosen. I have emailed all of the people whose photographs are included within the 100 this evening, with instructions as to what to do next. There were 267 shots submitted for judging, so it is inevitable that many people will be disappointed not to have got shots above the line. However, I am sure that the judges will agree that the submissions this year has been of an exceptionally high standard. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the project so far, both in monetary terms (£3,870 so far) as well as in submitting such a great spread of photographs to be judged. I would also like to thank all of the judges (22 of you), who have helped to make this happen. Thank you, and stand by for further news as the book starts to be put together. dhsimmonds Posted January 12, 2012 Share #13 Posted January 12, 2012 Many thanks Andy. I will look forward to buying the book. I know how much work goes into this sort of thing and the real work hasn't started yet! The shuffling of images, entering them in order into software, preparing text is tedious but the end result for us all will be fantastic. My thanks to all who have assisted you too. You all deserve medals!
andybarton Posted January 19, 2012 Author Share #14 Posted January 19, 2012 The full res shots are coming through thick and fast now, so we will be able to start work on the book itself shortly. I will drop a gentle reminder to those who have yet to send through their files, some time next week.

stunsworth Posted January 20, 2012 Share #16 Posted January 20, 2012 Andy, have you taken a look at Apple's new iBook Author software? Seems to offer lot more layout options than Kindle. Perhaps not for this book, but maybe as an online option the next one.
