Advertisement Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Hi elansprint72, Take a look here Buttermere. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted February 27, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2007 Pete - Gorgeous multi framing adding greatly to the impression of depth, excellent full tonal range, contrast and details. A lovely composition.

ECliffordSmith Posted February 28, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 28, 2007 Pete, I think John and Stuart and summed it up very nicely. Is this taken from the village towards Haystacks?
elansprint72 Posted February 28, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted February 28, 2007 Guys, thanks for the comments. Ed- confession time...... as soon as I posted this I realised that it is not Buttermere! It is, in fact Crummock Water, the adjacent lake along the valley. We had walked from Gatesgarth Farm, across the valley floor, turned right (NW) along the shore of Buttermere and then along Crummock Water. This view is across the lake to Hause Point, where the road is just visible above the water; Haystacks would have been behind me a couple of miles away. Is there any facility to edit the title of a post once one has committed the crime?
