hpu Posted February 27, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Question I have for the users of D3. I'm looking for a TTL flash for this one. I am in the market for a small flas but with a bounce. Any of you have experience with the Leica SF24D, which has no bounce. Thanks in advance. Hans. Advertisement Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Hi hpu, Take a look here Flash for Digilux 3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dwcolvin Posted February 27, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 27, 2007 Olympus FL-36 or FL-50 are the logical choices... only flashes (other than their more expensive Panasonic clones) that support TTL and FP-TTL on the D3.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted February 27, 2007 Share #3  Posted February 27, 2007 I got the FL-36 and while it is not big it actually work very well and do have bounce. it is very compact and travel well.  Bo  My Leica scratch page - random thoughts , pictures and such. jdlaing Posted February 28, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted February 28, 2007 I agree. Â The FL36 works great. Â If you don't need the extra size and power of the FL50 the smaller one is fine.
cbretteville Posted February 28, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted February 28, 2007 Any of you have experience with the Leica SF24D Â The D3 dosen't use a Leica hot shoe and thus isn't compatible with the SF24D. Metz flashes work, but needs a different SCA foot from the SCA3502 used by Leica Leica's as the D2.

Riley Posted March 1, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted March 1, 2007 this usually means that superseded stock gets sold off cheap too ! look forward to lower priced FL-36 and FL-
dugby Posted March 1, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted March 1, 2007 Please look carefully on the Metz - always first class. - website for the D3 and L1 support page. Â Currently for a D3/L1 the ONLY Metz flash that works in TTL via a SCA3202-M5 is the 54MZ4i
hpu Posted March 1, 2007 Author Share #12 Â Posted March 1, 2007 Riley,Dugby, Â Both thanks so much for your answers. Take this all in consideration. At this moment I know a Dutch shop who sells FL-36 for EUR 194,00. Indeed price might get lower. I will decide end of this month. Â -
