Ecar Posted June 20, 2013 Share #102 Posted June 20, 2013 Hmm. I thought I didn't want any more lenses.... Mark, You don't want one. You actually need it, I'm sure. Yes, it's heavy, expensive, has a long focus throw, fringing, some focus shift, etc. But that's a small price to pay for the pleasure of feeling your jaw drop when you get the picture right. If you get one, sending it to Solms for a CLA is worth the expense to ensure it's perfectly calibrated.

Guest Posted June 24, 2013 Share #117 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm really surprised that buildings that old are still standing after the city being so devastated during WWII. Off Topic: @Stanjan0, The city of Munich was destroyed for about 97%. The most important historic buildings were rebuilt again after the bombing of Munich. In 1945 the Munich Frauenkirche looked like this: http://www.siebenbuerger.de/bild/zeitung/2008/graeser_marienhof_1945.jpg The Munich New Town Hall was also heavily damaged: http://www.br.de/themen/bayern/inhalt/geschichte/muenchen-altes-rathaus-zerbombt100~_v-image512_-6a0b0d9618fb94fd9ee05a84a1099a13ec9d3321.jpg?version=1321976197466 http://www.kuki-muenchen.de/kunstdetektive/bilder/stadthoer-turm-foto.jpg Keep peace!
