Jeffry Abt Posted February 18, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted February 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) If I want the "shot" and am under pressure- I use my Nikon. If I want "art" and have time - I use my M9P.
Advertisement Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Hi Jeffry Abt, Take a look here How would you choose?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted February 18, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted February 18, 2012 15mm to 90mm: M9-P or MP Macro and over 90mm: 5D2. Â Pete.
earleygallery Posted February 19, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted February 19, 2012 It really shouldn't matter. You use whatever equipment you have to it's best abilities.
kokoshawnuff Posted February 19, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted February 19, 2012 I would tend to agree with both Pete (I would say over 135mm and macro) and James, but will add that with some practice you should be able to get the 'shot' under pressure with your Leica just as quickly and dependably as with your Nikon. bpalme Posted February 19, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted February 19, 2012 Sometimes there's nothing like autofocus.. fast action ect. I use my P&S for macro. Recently I was in Costa Rica and really with I had a DSLR for wild life. But the the Leica does 95% of my needs.
TomB_tx Posted February 19, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted February 19, 2012 Sometimes there's nothing like autofocus... Â Back when many of us started serious photography there indeed was nothing like autofocus! Never had it, never missed it, got along fine without it. kokoshawnuff Posted February 19, 2012 Share #7 Â Posted February 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) not to mention that auto-focus can really miss the focus quite badly
skinnfell Posted February 20, 2012 Share #8  Posted February 20, 2012 If its raining = Canon If its not raining = Leica  (However where I live it rains on average 250 days a year, unfortunately.)  The reason for this is that my friends M9 died in a rain shower where my 5D2 survived to to the job. Cost him half the price of the camera to fix it.
