What I like so much about your bird photos is the unusual inclusion of the urban landscape, rarely seen in bird photographs. I really like this as-is, but would also consider cropping out the entire feeder...just thinking out loud. Good work!

Ordinarily I despise flash for wildlife photos but this is an outstanding use of extra lighting. The flash allowed the background city to recede into darkness while being visible enough to provide context and allowed the bird and feeder to stand out. Well done, Caryl (leave the feeder in).

I have been a big follower/fan of your HB shots for a long time. This could be the best one yet.

 

I know firsthand how hard it is to just get near them and I admire your persistence and patience. I have several salvia plants that they love and buzz over all the time. But the moment I show up with my camera, they are gone.
