Should be easy to find via Google, including his real name and email address..... I have both, if you wish to contact me via PM. I am not sure if Leica will sell the seals directly; and if they do, I would not be at all surprised if they get them from Interslice. Your leak is most probably coming in through the film canister window on the rear door. Leica can send you just the foam piece for that, if you ask nicely. When I asked him about R4 seals he said he didn't have a kit, so I sent him an R4 and he took measurements and made seals (including the film-type window. Which begs the question that if he doesn't have a 'front end' and contacting him by email is his only means of supplying goods to Leica users then why does the dog-in-a-manger policy of not giving third party emails apply? The Forum owner does not want to be responsible for such problems. The forum rules state: "Publication of personal data (mail address, telephone number, email address etc) is prohibited in general -- even if made in good faith. Every person has a legal right to decide about whether to publicise their own personal data." If this fellow is running a business on the Internet, but doesn't have a "front end", then he's not going to do much business. I have sourced a multi-pack of different sealing materials but I would welcome some advice regarding the seal where the camera back is hinged to the body. Because the "goo" of the perished seal is present on both the camera back and the body I can't tell how the original seal was fitted. Should I attach it to the back or the body? earleygallery Posted October 26, 2015 Share #16 Posted October 26, 2015 There are thin strips of foam also in the two grooves, top and bottom where the door closes against the body, and the foam around the film reminder window of course.
