01af Posted January 11, 2012 Share #21 Â Posted January 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) The screw-in hoods of the Summarit-M lenses are simple, strong, easy to use, and (last not least) effective. I like them very much, and I leave them on all the time. Sure, they make the lenses a bit longer ... if your bag can't accept that then it's too small, as simple as that. Â Only if you're switching filters frequently then clip-on hoods would be more comfortable to use. But clip-on hoods are bulkier and more prone to damage. IWC Doppel Posted January 11, 2012 Author Share #24 Â Posted January 11, 2012 This one is not made for telephotos i'm afraid. Â I guessed not, as no long Leica lens has never had this type, I might try a plain screw on hood if the quality is any good. It might offer a little protection if no good for flare I suppose. Â It's either going to look 'cool' or silly as well
