Very fascinating! I love it when people do this as it is amazing how quickly thing can fade away when the world moves fast. Specially so when truthfully for the most, the progress has not been so much. Great Camera and great pics. I am an unashamed pixel peeper, but I still adore looking at pictures taken during the first golden age of Digital photography, such as the Digilux 1 and 2, and even older such as the Minolta Dimage X and such.

Great (not that) little cam indeed. I used it for my avatar 9 years ago and bought two samples of it that i'm still using for B&W and street. Makes my subjects smile really. Perhaps they take it for a pre-war camera i don't know. Taking four snaps in a second in total silence is also something that none of my Leica Ms is able to do so far. Great for catching those smiles instead of grimaces BTW. Was tempted by the Fuji X10 recently but i was put off by its blooming artefacts so i still carry those old babies everywhere i can.

Im not sure how accurate this is,

the 30-100mm f2-2.5 on the Digilux 1 was said to be a rebadged Canon lens from Canon G1/G2 34-102mm f2-2.5.

The slight difference in focal lengths due to Digilux1 having a slightly larger sensor 1/1.76" compared to G1/G2 1/1.8".

Still the output of the Digilux1 from its internal processing is real nice. Different from Canon G1/G2.

Was advertised by Casio as a Canon lens then.
