jaapv Posted December 25, 2011 Share #22 Â Posted December 25, 2011 I like the leather on your camera in your signature-picture Jaap. Did it yourself? Â No- Leica a-la-carte. I have done quite few other leathers, though.

Knorp Posted December 25, 2011 Share #24 Â Posted December 25, 2011 Â Yeah, I'd seen this already, title should read: "How not to paint a Leica". Silly exercise and a waist of time really ...
anta Posted December 25, 2011 Share #25 Â Posted December 25, 2011 Pretty stupid to risk to damage a new Leica just to make it look like Barbie's camera. Â But the worst is that he obviously thinks he's doing a great detail job, while the result is so lousy that I wouldn't even let him paint an old bycicle! _____________ Il cimento della fotografia | Photography and little more, by Andrea Taurisano

ho_co Posted December 25, 2011 Share #27 Â Posted December 25, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hilarious! Tongue-in-cheek throughout. Â The excitement at finding the 'right screw' to remove the top, the off-screen hand that supplies the lens cap to store removed screws in, the poor paint job, even the color, and especially the continued theme "I wouldn't do this myself, but my friend wants me to"--not my fault, but I did it anyway. Â Thanks for the heads-up, Owin!
myshkine Posted December 25, 2011 Share #28 Â Posted December 25, 2011 Ok, silly idea and very bad paint job. But... a color Leica (green, light blue) could have followers...

FlashGordonPhotography Posted December 27, 2011 Share #30 Â Posted December 27, 2011 I'll bet ten bucks to anyone that this camera is on its way to Solms for an M9P upgrade anyway. In a couple of weeks it will be like it never happened. And some good marketing for the company to boot. Â Kai has also written on another forum that he knew it was going to be a lousy paint job and definitely not to be taken seriously. And it's not like it was your camera. Make it any colour you like as far as I'm concerned. Â Gordon
JayC Posted December 27, 2011 Share #31 Â Posted December 27, 2011 His videos are fun to watch. Even this one. Kai would be a fun guy to hang out with.

stunsworth Posted December 27, 2011 Share #34 Â Posted December 27, 2011 But will it blend? Â Be adventurous. You have an M9, and I'm guessing a blender.
Gerard Posted December 27, 2011 Share #35 Â Posted December 27, 2011 I guess a firmware updare will resolve the strong magenta cast issue here.
IWC Doppel Posted January 6, 2012 Share #36  Posted January 6, 2012 Hmmmm.......  He would of done a better job with a 3 " paintbrush and a pot of gloss pink  For me it reduces the credibility of the reviews not all internet traffic is good news IMO
zlatkob Posted January 7, 2012 Share #37 Â Posted January 7, 2012 It was sad to watch. The camera looks awful.
