sacrilege

Pretty stupid to risk to damage a new Leica just to make it look like Barbie's camera.

But the worst is that he obviously thinks he's doing a great detail job, while the result is so lousy that I wouldn't even let him paint an old bycicle!

Hilarious! Tongue-in-cheek throughout. :D

The excitement at finding the 'right screw' to remove the top, the off-screen hand that supplies the lens cap to store removed screws in, the poor paint job, even the color, and especially the continued theme "I wouldn't do this myself, but my friend wants me to"--not my fault, but I did it anyway. :)

Thanks for the heads-up, Owin!

I'll bet ten bucks to anyone that this camera is on its way to Solms for an M9P upgrade anyway. In a couple of weeks it will be like it never happened. And some good marketing for the company to boot.

Kai has also written on another forum that he knew it was going to be a lousy paint job and definitely not to be taken seriously. And it's not like it was your camera. Make it any colour you like as far as I'm concerned.
