lct Posted December 14, 2011 Share #21 Â Posted December 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) ...Some folks get all the luck! You say you've got 4 Leicas on which the Summicron-C works fine... I must be a very lucky guy then given that my three samples (from 1972, 1973 & 1974) of the Summicron-C work fine not only on my four Leica Ms but also on my two Epson bodies the rangefinder of which is hardly known as the best built in the world. michali Posted December 14, 2011 Share #22 Â Posted December 14, 2011 Let's do a poll. Mine focusses perfectly on M3, M6,M8,M9. Â After offloading one of my 40mm Summicron lenses onto Jaap, I was left with two 40mm Summicron lenses. Both focus perfectly on M3, M6, M7, MP & M9. Â Along with the 50mm Summilux it's probably my favorite lens.
thompsonkirk Posted December 15, 2011 Share #23 Â Posted December 15, 2011 So far nobody has mentioned what I think is the best thing about the 40 Summicron: With cam ground to bring up 35mm framelines, it matches M9's 35mm framing much more accurately than a 'real' 35.
