Your Old Dog Posted December 11, 2011 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is very uncharacteristic of me but I just felt obligated to make a contribution to you guys for all the great information I have received from this site. I am not the brightest bulb on the tree and figuring out some of this stuff is difficult for me and it's great to have a place to turn to where answers are available. Despite the fact I am in the midst of a bunch of heathens I appreciate all your help

Keith (M) Posted December 11, 2011 Share #6 Posted December 11, 2011 Couldn't agree more. Coming into the world of Leica in November last year, I would have found life much more difficult and less enjoyable had it not been for this forum and the willingness of knowledgeable forum members to answer my (sometimes dumb) questions. Guest Holy Moly Posted December 11, 2011 Share #8 Posted December 11, 2011 "I am not the brightest bulb on the tree" THIS phrase is the best in this year. Having learned English fifty years ago, the LUF int. is THE place to brush up the rest of my knowledge. You made my day and the rest of this year! Your Old Dog Posted December 11, 2011 Author Share #14 Posted December 11, 2011 Well Keith after trying to figure out what malapropisms meant I think I burned out a few more bulbs! I googled malapropisms and found some hilarious ones.
farnz Posted December 13, 2011 Share #15 Posted December 13, 2011 A few fries short of a Happy Meal. A couple I found particularly amusing are: - Fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down. - Couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel. (Not intended to describe you, Ray.) Pete.
