Which at risk of starting arguments in lens lovers land: is the same lens as the Summicron Forty, but somehow isn't. I spent the difference in price on a kewl bag and more uv/ir filters for my M8. e1k3 Posted December 10, 2011 Share #29 Posted December 10, 2011 Seems you are heading for a similar path I had taken a couple of month ago: M8 with 28 Summicron. Wonderful combination. From film days I still have a 35 V4 Summicron. It is really nice on M8 as well, especially for B&W work. However I prefer a slightly wider FOV, so the 28 is more versatile and the perfect focal length for me on M8. Yes, the 28 Summicron is expensive. But for me it made sense to put money on an exquisite lens of my favorite focal length. Will not part from this lens. Enjoy your M8. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
