I was reading a post here on the Magnum book 'Contact Sheets' and in the accompanying photo of the bookshelf on which the tome was placed, I saw an interesting title.... 'Way Beyond Monochrome', which I have now ordered :D:D:D

Anyhow, this is one of my four bookshelves... my favorite I might add :p

I think this is an excellent idea for a thread, as I have seen several books that look extremely interesting (and that I will be adding to my Christmas list). Thanks Paul.

OK, here's my more "normal" size Leica and photography books...

And here's some of my "oversized" ones. This is where I had planned to put "Magnum Contact Sheets", but it won't fit. Time to adjust the shelf height!!! BTW, the Lars Netopil book is simply outstanding. Nearly 500 pages of stunning photographs covering many extremely rare and unusual Leica cameras, many of which were in the factory collection but sold off when times were bad and cash was scarce. The text is in German and English.

I stumbled upon this thread and immediately missed my books, which are all packed away while we try to sell our house. I looked up to see whether the empty shelves would be photogenic, and this is what I saw:

Stephen-

The Kelby book looks well used. Good for you. Nice collection, I must say. Are the books in the US or China?

Yes, my adventure with learning Lightroom 3 seems never ending. I can't remember who recommended this book to me, but it's been an invaluable resource.

My book collection is still in the US, as are we at the moment, but everything is being packed now for the permanent move to China after the holidays. The expat life is calling...
