In the world of Land Rover, you get rear window and bumper stickers that say things like:

"Don't follow me, I can go anywhere"

"If you can read this please turn me over" (written upside down...)

"It's not an oil leak, it's marking its territory"

...and so on.

Perhaps there is a market for something similar on Leicas?

I'm toying with the idea of:

"Organic components inside" ;)

Regards,

Bill

I'm surprised no one has been tempted simply to have the price engraved on the body.

If you're going to be vulgar, at least do it properly!

Or perhaps a quote from the Harry Enfield character Stan Herbert:

"Oi am considevably more richer than yaow!"

(I think I'll pass on such suggestions.)

Hi folks,
I know this is a pretty old thread, but I thought it might be relevant as i'm thinking of an engraving on my M240.  I'have  a steady hand and can borrow a Dremel engraver from work.  My initial idea was my monogram, but i had and idea of an animal print.. like a cheetah's print.  I have mocked it up in photoshop.

Your thoughts?

i'm not fussed about the resale value, I just wanted to personalise it as my own.  the top plate is plane and boring.

If i'm correct, the top plate will be brass... so it will have a yellowish tint to it?

How about a snake print?
