Excellent Ian.

William, one thing I'd say is be a little wary about what collection Getty allocate your photos to. It might just be my experience but I've noticed this year they seem to want to put the Flickr stuff into their RF rather than RM collections. It's a little sneaky how they do this - it is quite easy to go through the file upload/key wording stages for selected images without noticing which licensing option they have chosen (they don't give you the choice). I'm not rabidly anti-RF (and have let Getty put a small number of photos into their Flickr RF collection) but there are some images that I have decided not to let Getty market because I didn't want them sold as RF.

Ian, thank you but would you mind defining the acronyms RF and RM? For some reason I can't get Range Finder, Radio Frequency or Royal Majesty out of my head long enough to deduce them.

I do like the fact that you can still sell Limited Editions from your own website as long as they don't go through a third party.

See signature, note that I do not aspire to select only artistically interesting photo's there are plenty there just indeed intended as a snapshot. Not a crime as far as I am concerned. Still I was happy with some of these, not all, when looking at them again recently.

Very wise words indeed.
