wattsy Posted November 3, 2011 Share #68 Â Posted November 3, 2011 Excellent Ian. Â William, one thing I'd say is be a little wary about what collection Getty allocate your photos to. It might just be my experience but I've noticed this year they seem to want to put the Flickr stuff into their RF rather than RM collections. It's a little sneaky how they do this - it is quite easy to go through the file upload/key wording stages for selected images without noticing which licensing option they have chosen (they don't give you the choice). I'm not rabidly anti-RF (and have let Getty put a small number of photos into their Flickr RF collection) but there are some images that I have decided not to let Getty market because I didn't want them sold as RF. Â Ian, thank you but would you mind defining the acronyms RF and RM? For some reason I can't get Range Finder, Radio Frequency or Royal Majesty out of my head long enough to deduce them. Â I do like the fact that you can still sell Limited Editions from your own website as long as they don't go through a third party.
wattsy Posted November 3, 2011 Share #70 Â Posted November 3, 2011 Sorry. RF = Royalty Free. RM = Rights Managed.

SJP Posted November 4, 2011 Share #72 Â Posted November 4, 2011 See signature, note that I do not aspire to select only artistically interesting photo's there are plenty there just indeed intended as a snapshot. Not a crime as far as I am concerned. Still I was happy with some of these, not all, when looking at them again recently.

Reds Posted November 8, 2011 Share #76  Posted November 8, 2011 Here's me - although all my most recent pics are off my Nikon.  Flickr: Reds.'s Photostream  I'm a little out of love with my M9, since I traded up a perfect f/1 nocti for the new model, which seems to back focus at mid distances. Another service trip and I'm sure my Flickr account will be back to more Leica pics ;-)
