Rona!d Posted November 10, 2011 Share #61 Posted November 10, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) His favourite film was Kodak Royal Supra - at his request, I once bought some over here and shipped it to him when it was no longer available in the US. Since that is long dead, what does he use now? ( I would ask him, but he's long since stopped replying to my emails ) Yes, I had some rolls of Royal Supra too because of his recommendation, it was not available here, I think. He doesn´t shoot film at the moment, no good lab around.

SJP Posted November 10, 2011 Share #62 Posted November 10, 2011 Just about nostalgy of old times... <snip> and Fortran compiler (no double precision math...) For my amusement I wrote a prime number code (sieve of eratosthenes) in FORTRAN (Salford F95) about a year ago for one of my wife's colleagues who had a competition in his class for the students. About 10 lines of code. It was faster than all the other stuff they wrote Pascal, C++ etc. by a wide margin. Anyway, why did Imants leave the building? I quite liked his unconventional style.
